Between tradition and innovation

EXPO 58, Brussels World’s Fair in 1958, was a landmark in history for Czech – at the time still Czechoslovakian – glass. The success of the avant-garde ideas proved to be the foundation for the new approach to glass, as a result of which it claimed a place for itself in the free and monumental arts.
Fifty eventful years later GlazenHuis presented an overview of the further development of this glass movement. And here a new generation of Czech glass artists got into touch with the world-famous glass masters.
